Job Duties
Professor Nelson oversees the Make to Innovate program and is the instructor for both the AerE 294 and 494 courses. His role involves overseeing course development, policies, budget, and implementation of the course in the program. Professor Nelson has a background in circuit design, RF design, and embedded systems and can help students in these areas. Professor Nelson is also working on his Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interactions (HCI) with an emphasis in Engineering Education. His research is in teaching professional development skills to students using Game-Based Learning (GBL) and virtual and augmented reality technology.

Mrs. Nelson (no relation to Matthew Nelson) oversees the day to day operation of M2I. This includes purchasing, management of the lab space and also helps in grading items such as the weekly reports. She also runs and oversees the 3D printers in the 0620 Laboratory.
