Deliverables

  • Improvements to the new module
  • Implementation of switches for the Raspberry Pi
  • Creation of multiple spacecrafts

Milestones and Goals:

  • Improvements to the new moduleThe New Module while a big improvement, we noticed that some things could be a little better, so we’ve chosen to make the payload walls and supports a single piece. We chose to do this because the supports for the payload would continue to turn, and the wall pieces would slide out of their slots. This would cause trouble for fitting plates into the spacecraft.
  • Implementation of switches for the Raspberry PiHABET lacked the ability to properly shut down the Raspberry Pi. It would be turned off by unplugging it from the power supply. So, the team is working on implementing means to turn off the Raspberry Pi safely without the possibility of corrupting the information on the Raspberry Pi.
  • Creation of multiple spacecraftsDue to diverse needs of the spacecraft, we will be creating multiple spacecrafts to do said flights. Additionally, having multiple spacecrafts will allow us to work around unpredictable and bad weather.

End of Semester Report

  • New Walls attached to support beams – Goal Met
  • Implement Raspberry Pi shut off switch – Goal Met
  • Creation of Multiple Spacecrafts – Partially Done
    • While new spacecraft modules were built, and many parts were present. In-house power supply was not built.
